Improvement of Pasig-Marikina River Channel

Drilling and backfilling works

BAUER Philippines implemented offshore replacement drilling along the Marikina River for a flood control and drainage project. The work involved pre-drilling 1,505 positions of Ø1500mm totaling 22,644 lm, followed by sand and/or soil backfilling to improve soil conditions for steel sheet piles. The drilling was done using BG40 with double wall casings through rock layers, supporting the construction of a reinforced concrete flood wall.
